The quality of the rubber was not good- it did not produce adequate speed or spin of the ball.

Im no pro by any means, i just play casually. As a hobby? Anyways in my opinion, the hurricane 3 gives good speed and the g888 is decent for control and spin. Only reason i gave it 4 stars is because i find it a bit heavy. Maybe ill get used to it with time.

I used a Butterfly paddle before but can’t have powerful top spin. Finally I found this one that is double the cost but has more powerful spin and easier control. I had a better result in the tournament. It’s definitely suitable for an intermediate player who is looking for a reasonable cost paddle.DHS is a well known Chinese brand. The person in picture on the paddle is a well known world champion.

Overall a great paddle with a great combination of rubbers and blade. This is more than a worthy upgrade to my typical DHS 4002 choice - great feel and consistency... although at this price point, you might start looking towards a custom-made paddle. The only thing that threw me off was the lack of fishy smell that was very apparent with both my DHS4002 paddles.. I initially thought the paddle might have fake hurricane 3 .. but the rubbers still had tons of spin and played just as well.pros:-very gift-able - great outer box with everything you need included-great rubber combination - make sure it matches your play style though!-looks like a 5-ply rosewood blade, which sits in that $60-$80 range. so decent pricing for a pre-made paddlecons:-The silver case does a great job protecting the paddle during transport since it's a hard shell that prevents anything from getting smushed.. but looks/feels a bit cheap - doesn't quite match the paddle in quality-Not sure why the edge tape isn't applied - I found it annoying that I had to install itI give the paddle 5-stars.. but the overall kit 4 stars
