Good quality little set up that's perfect for almost any location, it's about right for most sized cats as long as they aren't massive. You could also put in smaller dogs if you'd like but it's not really designed for larger dogs.Well made little set up at a good price

I wanted to use this item more before leaving a review, unfortunately the weather has taken a turn for the worst and it looks like it's here to stay, so here goes. For now, I have used it on my balcony as a play pen for my Sphynx cat—I think it would be good as well in a garden, or even in a park, although I wasn't able to test (and therefore to review) those possible uses. The pen is large enough for a medium-size cat (at the time of writing, my kitten is about 3kgs), and will accommodate kittens in general, as well as small dogs such as Yorkshire terriers or chihuahua. Larger pets would fit in it per se, but won't be able to do much more than lie down and roll over. The opening at the top makes it easy to put in and pick up your pet, as well as to bring in more toys, water, etc. (Perhaps a small portable litter box will fit as well, I don't have one so I haven't tried though.) The pen comes with a tunnel that you can choose leave out if need be: the two side connectors have their own zipping covers, so if the whole play pen with tunnel is for instance too large for a balcony, you can always elect to keep those closed and not connect them to the tunnel itself. I'm not entirely sure about how sturdy the material is, because I made sure to leave toys in it for my cat, and also stayed with her on the balcony, so she didn't try to scratch it or chew to it; this is something to keep in mind especially with kittens who're still teething and liable to bite everything, so if you order such a pen for your young pet, maybe test it inside for a few days at first, and never leave it unattended.Beware the folding and unfolding, though: the way this pen works is through tension, and I got a bit of a surprise when I unpacked it the first time and it sprung open between my hands. There were also no instructions with it regarding how to fold it back so that it would fit in its provided bag again; I had to look up another similar product that came with a video in order to make sure I would proceed accordingly. Once you have the hang of it, it's actually fairly easy, but the first couple of times can be a little challenging if you've never used such products.Overall I'm pretty satisfied with this item, and I'm glad I'll have it at the ready for next summer.
