Brusho comes in very strong powder form, which you can either use as powder on wet paper, or use to make up the colours which you would like before you paint.The tiny scoops which come in this kit are ideal for measuring to get consistent results.There are little dishes with pouring spouts which you can use by putting scoops of the colours you wish to make up, and then use a pipette to put in a measured amount of water.Steel ball-bearings are supplied which you put in the little dish and gently run it around to mix the colours into the water. This is better than a paintbrush unless you like inconsistent results for your painting. As there are a good number of the little dishes you can use them like individual palettes and take the paint directly from them.From the adverts I think these are designed for mixing dyes, but they work well with Brusho :-)

This set of paint mixing tools came packed in a sturdy plastic box which has flipped open tabs which close securely giving you a great place to store all the paraphernalia neatly. The set includes x120 mixing balls in its own plastic box (careful when you open this), x2 metal paint stirrers, x20 paint trays, x8 3ml pipettes and an instruction leaflet. This is a larger number of pipettes than advertised and looking at other images this appears to be case for the majority of people receiving the kit.The mixing balls are essentially ball bearings made from stainless steel which are rust proof, corrosion resistant and feel smooth to the touch without any rough edges or burrs. They are ideal for adding into a bottle of paint so that you can shake the bottle to thoroughly mix the pigments, but do remember to clean them before adding them to your paints. The pipettes are ideal for not only measuring out quantities but also prevent you from risk of contamination if you are mixing colours. They have a good amount of suction and the plastic is unlikely to deform or split – I would say they are pretty standard.The paint trays are good for mixing up colours and measure 45mm in diameter with a relatively shallow height of 9.5mm. They are made from pressed steel, can be stacked together and are easy to wipe / clean down quickly with an in-built spout to pour the paint if required (ideal for my use of airbrush paints). They have a smooth surface and are reusable although maybe a little lightweight – I could imagine them getting dented quite easily if you aren’t careful. The paint stirrers are useful for mixing and feature a miniature spoon on one end and a flat end on the other.I am using this with my airbrush set up and it is perfect for model makers and artists alike. The set is pretty comprehensive and works well with my Vallejo bottles / paints. Priced at 13.99 at the time of reviewing, this seems like a good price and has definitely improved my set up.

If you do any sort of crafting, art, miniature painting or model-making, then this set of mixing tools is very useful indeed.Arriving in a sturdy plastic storage box, the kit includes 20 metal paint trays, 2 long metal stirrers, 8 plastic pipettes, and 120 mixing balls (ball bearings, essentially).It's worth noting that the box contents in the product description are wrong. It states in the written description that only 2 pipettes are included, and it says 6 in the product image, but there are actually 8 in the box.The paint mixing trays are far better than I was expecting. They're made of a fairly thick metal with a nice pouring spout. They can be cleaned and reused many times. I had expected them to be like foil trays, so that was a pleasant surprise. These are great for mixing small amounts of colour for airbrushes.The ball bearing mixers, which are in their own little box, are useful if you have smaller pots of paint, such as those made by Humbrol, Revell or Citadel. Hobby enamel and acrylic metallic paints are notorious for needing a lot of mixing if they're left for a period of time, so dropping one of the balls into the pot and shaking it makes things much easier. The stirrers are handy for lifting the lids of those kind of paints too.Overall, this is a really useful set, particularly for model makers and miniature painters. It's decent value too, given what's included in the box.

Great value if you want the various parts. I needed the mixing pans, but chose this for the bundle (needed the mixing balls too). There are better deals if you only want more of one type of item.
