Used to extend the reach of some , and they served their purpose beautifully. The threads are smooth and accurate to the standard(s), and since I needed to cut them to length, I can attest to the steel being as hard as 304 SS should be (this is not a technical assurance of specification, just personal experience). Very useful doodads :)

I tried everywhere to get a new shower door knob the correct size and correct thread size for my shower door with no success. All the knobs seem to be 8mm threads but I needed 6mm but then I saw these double ended bolts. The female thread in the knob was 8mm so I cut down the bolts 8mm part down the the length I wanted and then cut down the 6mm part to the length I need through the glass and screwed the shortened bolt into the knob which was a perfect fit.
