I’m really impressed with this machine. My last sharpener was a Drill Doctor 500X. It was ok but mostly plastic, and not very precise. The only plastic part on the new machine is the mains switch.It seems very well made with good, precise parts where needed. I ordered the blue and white version that said it covered 3mm up to 15mm bits. TBH I didn’t think you could get ER20 collets over 13mm but this came with 14mm and 15mm. Getting the correct lip relief angle can be a bit tricky but no more so than the Drill Doctor. You need a basic understanding of drill geometry and a willingness to experiment. I find the jig to set the drill position is ok for larger bits (+8mm). Below that you need to check carefully and align by eye - and be prepared to tweak a bit anti-clockwise from the “parallel” position shown in the instructions. The instructions are the most disappointing thing. I found them ok as I knew what angles and clearance I wanted and could guess at what they were trying to say. Complete beginners may struggle with them but probably wouldn’t be buying a machine like this one.Expensive but worth it. Very happy with my purchase.

Works really well, silent, precise and easy to use. I just had to unpack the machine, remove some excess oil from the holder and unpack the collets. 5' Later I was sharpening my drill bits with success. Even without the second operation to reduce the head, the drills were razor sharp Just a shame that the machine came out of the factory with the drill setting adjuster being not well pressed/screwed in the machine. It's on a bit weird angle to the rest of the machine but still works

Robusta, silenziosa di facile utilizzo.Le istruzioni sono in inglese ed anche molto modesto. Non ho una telecamera, quindi non mi è stato semplice fare un video mentre la mettevo in opera, ma in rete ci sono diversi tutorial sulla macchina, molto ben eseguiti. In pochi minuti ho ridato vita a tutte le punte che avevo. Vale i soldi spesi e non può mancare nel proprio laboratorio. Sono avvezzo all'affilatura di punte e utensili ma il risparmio di tempo ed il risultato finale hanno dato logica all'acquisto. Per la macchina 6 stelle...unico neo il ricambio della mola, sotto alle 100€ nei siti italiani non la trovate, 70 € circa in quelli cinesi. Smontate la mola diamantata e lì trovate il codice per trovare il ricambio. Sono entusiasta. Lascio qualche foto di una punta affilata anche se non rende a pieno. La macchina può affilare anche punte con diverse gradazioni e la trovate impostata sulla più comune (118 gradi) ma può variare dai 90 fino ai 140 (c'è una scala graduata), dovete avere quindi anche una minima conoscenza della cosa (se non l'avete poco male, anche su questo ci tanti tutorial) . Da capire se è possibile affilare punte con l'auto centrante (probabilmente si ma torna utile il discorso di prima). Spero la recensione vi sia stata utile.

Appena arrivato devo ancora testarlo . Sicuramente molto robusto e pesante non i soliti affilatori in plastica che si rompono in 5 minuti . Unica cosa mi sembra complicato da regolare ma forse è perché non mi ci sono ancora applicato . Vedremo . Per ora soddisfatto .

Habe mir den MR-20G Zugelegt wegen der Möglichkeit auch Bohrer über 13mm zu schärfen, da Bohrer ab 13mm im Anschaffungspreis stark ansteigen.Das Gerät ist sehr stabile gebaut und von der Verarbeitungsqualität Top.Die Genauigkeit ist auch sehr gut, nach schärfen eines 14mm Bohrers mit Kreutzschliff in der kleinsten Ausprägung ( beide Stifte ganz links) und einem Bohrtest in der Ständerbohrmaschine in einen nicht Vorgebohrten und gekörten Messingblock, bekam ich ein Sauberes Bohrloch mit 14,03mm. Und auch ein Test in ein Dünnwandiges vierkant Rohr verlief super.Das einzige Manko was ich feststellen konnte ist die Motorleistung diese könnte Höher sein, beim Schleifen eines 18mm Bohrers ist die Maschine doch schon deutlich in die Knie gegangen, dass Schleifergebnis wahr trotzdem tadellos.Tipp 1: Die Schleifaufnahmen und Zentrieraufnahme sind von der Passung sehr genau gefertigt, nach 4 Schleifvorgängen sollte man diese im Ausgeschaltetem zustand vom Schleifstaub reinigen.Tipp2: Das Stellrad für den Bohrerdurchmesser erst immer ganz nach links drehen, und dann auf den zu schleifenden Durchmesser.

Das ist mit Abstand das beste Gerät das ich mir in letzter Zeit gekauft habe. Exakter Schliff, scharf und zentriert.

I looked at the current market for drill bit sharpeners when reviewing this to get an idea of what’s available. It’s in a different league to the usual draper/sealey sharpeners and more of an industrial sharpener than a hobbyist set. With this in mind it’s easy to forgive the abysmal instructions that come with this as it gives almost no usable information at all. In fairness it’s pretty straightforward once you get going and as another review mentions a quick YouTube search yields plenty of guidance.Compared to what else is on the market the price is about right and overall build quality is ok although it would be nice to see a catch on the storage compartment. The collets and chucks come soaked in oil to prevent rust just like all good machine shop equipment should.It’s very quiet in operation the only info missing that would be nice is the knob on the top rear of the unit for centring position (I believe as it’s not mentioned in the instructions) you get two chucks to cover a larger range of shank sizes.Tolerances are tight and its useful to know that when sharpening the chuck needs inserting with a slight upward tiltIf it sticks at the current 499 prince it puts it about right with slight advantage having the two chucks and bigger range of drill sizes.
