My friend bought a printer that was supposed to be in working condition. Ah, it was not. The Revo Micro was so clogged it was easier to replace it. The E3D Revo Micro is a perfect upgrade for the Prusa Mini!

Hab es als Upgrade für einen Prusa Mini+ gekauft. Einbauanleitung von E3D passt. Wesentlich besser als das Standard Hot-End.

Cambiato tutto l'Hotend sulla mia Prusa Mini dopo il secondo Clog capitato dopo pochi mesi. L'Hotend originale (quindi con PTFE nella gola) va bene per stampare PLA e TPU, ma per stampe, con materiali più tecnici, bisogna tenere in conto del fattore Clogging. Il Revo con hotend full-metal è ottimo per stampare materiali più tecnici (non quelli abrasivi) con i loro nozzle standard. In futuro comprerò anche il nozzle a 0.6mm per provare anche il sistema di cambio veloce.Bisogna mettere in conto, se si ha intenzione di cambiare con il Revo, di stampare in anticipo l'adattatore per attacco Prusa Mini (si trova con facilità su printables ed E3D fornisce il link con tutto le istruzioni per il montaggio). Importante è stamparlo con filamenti più resistenti alle temperature (quindi non in PLA), personalmente l'ho stampato con Fiberlogy PCTG.

Primo acquisto: terminata l'installazione, che comunque richiede del tempo, all'accensione mandava la stampante in reboot continuo. Dopo qualche prova ho constatato che il termistore pressofuso nell'estrusore era in corto. Ho dovuto rismontare tutto e reinstallare il vecchio estrusore, che per fortuna avevo mantenuto reinstallabile, evitando di tagliare il tubo bowden per adattarlo al nuovo. Un pomeriggio di lavoro inutile. Un consiglio: provate il termistore con un tester PRIMA dell'installazione, che leggendo in giro pare un difetto di fabbricazione frequente... Secondo acquisto: a metà dell'istallazione mi sono accorto che il kit era incompleto, mancando il connettore interno del tubo bowden, l'anello in ottone e la clip azzurra. Restituito di nuovo. Tanta sfortuna? Proverò di nuovo ma direttamente sul sito della E3D.

Revo. While there's a few things to know about the Revo, this really is a revolution in FDM hotends.The main thing to know is that the temp sensor doesn't read heat the same way as the other hotends (Unless your heater block is a Watterwatt...which then it's roughly the same...)- it will read "cooler" than it is by about a degree or so in the hysteresis on the PID on your printer. Ultimately, it doesn't change much, but it might call for a slightly differing temp setting for your filaments (So far, nothing's changed for me).Past that, it's all pluses.What you heard about nozzle changes (and even the need to do it...) is right. Filament pulled, hotend cooled- it's just a finger twist away. It also makes clog fixes, if you actually managed to GET it to clog, easier.All-metal hot end. This means your printer, in an enclosure, just became able to print crazy stuff like Nylon and Polycarbonate...and so far it's been no-fuss, no muss with either of them with this hotend.Bought for a research project, this is the second Revo hot-end, bought for a new kinematic style for FDM being developed out by myself. The M12 retention makes this much easier and allows you to hook it into all sorts of effector designs easily. IF, however, you have an Ender, etc. where they have provided a "stock" adaptation for your printer (See Revo-CR for an Ender and the like, for example...) you will want to buy that one instead. While you can easily and readily adapt this hotend to those printers (E3D even provided information and there's 3D printable mounts...) it's simpler, easier, and cleaner to get the adapted hotend.All things being equal, while this review probably sounds like a shill advert from E3D, it's not. This is the real deal and they weren't kidding about it being an improvement.

Hatte erst meinen Prusa MK3S+ mit einem Revo Hotend versehen und bereits nach zweimal Nozzlewechsel auch das Revo Micro für den Prusa Mini zu holen. Das System überzeugt einfach. Beim Prusa Mini+ kann man auch tatsächlich von einem Upgrade sprechen, das neue Hotend sorgt für ein besseres Druckbild als das Originale von Prusa. Der Einbau ist relativ einfach, falls man nur einen Drucker hat, sollte man entsprechende Teile natürlich vor dem Auseinandernehmen drucken. Preis etwas heftig, aber geht durchaus in Ordnung.
