I've used this to repair a pair of leather sandals that the braided strap came loose and a couple of straps that were coming up where they had been glued at the factory on my purses. I had tried super glue on my sandals and it left hard residue and didn't last after wearing one time. I used this and have worn my sandals multiple times and they still are in tact, as well as my purse handles. Leaves no hard messy residue and adheres very well. Just make sure to clamp whatever you are adhering and let sit for at least 8 to 10 hours. It probably dries faster but that's the way I always apply it when bonding leather and it works for me. Also no overwhelming smell in fact I didn't really notice a smell at all. Very easy to use and no goopy, oozing, runny mess or excessive residue like many other glues and adhesives. A little bit goes a long way, so this bottle will last me a while. I would buy it again without hesitation.
