I had the typical pitman arm shaft leak, didn’t want to buy a whole steering gear for a super common leak. This kit is super cheap but the parts seem pretty good, and it fixed my leak!Not the easiest install if I am being honest, though if you watch a couple videos it’s much easier.For the price you might as well try this first, saves a couple hundred bucks if it works like mine did. Well worth the effort!

Fit my original steering box for my 97 k1500 5.7 just fine and saved me a bunch of money on crappy remanufactured or new steering boxes since they’ve been discontinued by chevy and acdelco. So far so good, time will tell how the seals hold up. Pitman arm was stuck in gear box pretty good and puller wouldn’t get it, so I cut a ‘relief’ spot in the pitman arm with my angle grinder and tapped a chisel in the relief spot to crack the pitman arm, then the puller pulled the pitman arm off with no problem at all. To get the seal seated, I used a 1 1/4” pvc pipe to be able to tap it in evenly. Threw a new acdelco pitman arm in for $35 and called it a day.
