Quality wise it seems just as good as the original Tamron one was, unfortunately there are two versions of the lens (18-270mm) that I bought it for, that both use the same codes, however they are not the same size, so this one is slightly too small and will not fit my older lens - totally my fault, I did not realise the hood size had changed when the improved lens came out.
