I have tried this pillow speaker on 2 different radios and neither is clearly audible even with hearing aids. So selling this as a pillow speaker is a poor description. This was ordered on 25th January on Prime 1 day but did not arrive until the 29th! So on two accounts - " Buyer beware "

Volume control can be by moving away from ear. So you can keep tucked up in bed

I need to listen to something to get off to sleep, but not music, and this is perfect for me to listen to the bbc world service and radio 4. Sadly this is my fourth purchase because, with the normal tossing and turning during sleep, the power cable invariably gets twisted and breaks

Barely audible through memory foam pillow. The cost and hassle of return makes it impractical

I've had other similar pillow speakers which were more powerful but more expensive - you have to have the volume up full with this one but then it works fine for me
