Mondeo 2013 bonnets catch jammed and I broke the cable trying to fix it. Ford wanted £250 for the parts and local garage charge a few hours labour. Took a chance on this bonnet catch and a cable also from Amazon (£40k ish in total). Local garage fitted it and it works perfectly! Over £200 saved, so highly recommeded.

generally speaking this lock does what it says on the tin, however if like me you are looking to upgrade the ford focus st225 (2004 - 2008) AKA the mk4 mondeo bonnet lock mod the orientation of the latch that would normally be operated by your fingers is twisted through 90 degrees so the paddle extension does not fit. all in all an ok lock and well priced.

My S-Max (08 reg) bonnet catch has been getting a bi dodgy for the last couple of years. Mostly after topping up fluids I could make it close with a bit of wiggling and perhaps some WD40, but finally it got to the stage where it just would not stay down.As the car is so old it's not worth spending loads keeping it going (I'm just waiting for an excuse to scrap it and get something newer and nicer). But I thought this could give it a few more months of life.Easy to fit, very cheap compared to an OEM part. Just needed the lever bending slightly to allow it to be fitted. Job done - bonnet is now working fully again, so I still can't go and buy a new car. Ho hum.
