I needed a short optical cable to use with an old Xonar external sound card (it has one of those unusual audio ports that doubles as an analogue and optical out). I've never used its optical out before, but needed to solve an issue with the analogue input on a powered speaker. I remembered I had an optical out I had never used...I'm blown away by the sound quality improvement, not in an audiophile way, it sounds noticeably better, far tighter and clearer. I'm guessing this is true of optical connections in general.I didn't have any setup issues, optical just works. The cable itself looks good and is surprisingly flexible. You can't fold it, obviously, but you can coil it quite tightly without issue. The braiding provides some bend resistance and protection.I can't think of anything to complain about, the attached rubber protective covers are a helpful feature, and the audio and physical quality are excellent. The price seems reasonable too, a sound upgrade for very little cost. If you've never used an optical cable in place of an analogue cable, I recommend it, I was surprised at the improvement, not what I expected.

These are well made cables and solid connectors. The braded finish of the cables gives them a quality feel and helps reduce tangling, although they really aren't that long so not a huge issue. The connectors are metal and really shine. I don't get the purpose of gold finish other than aesthetics when on an optical cable. However they do appear to be well made and durable.Overall a nice cable.

Most toslink cables I own are less than a metre in length. So it's handy to have option of something longer than a metre for your AV set up.The cable looks good quality, with solid looking terminations and good quality shielding. They are gold plated, which looks nice, but probably offers little real benefit with a digital optical transmission. The cable works as expected and I noticed no drops or issues in use.Decent value and quality.

Fernseher haben heutzutage kaum noch einen 3,5mm Klinkenanschluss, dafür aber eine Toslink-Buchse. Das Problem hatte nun ich, da ich Boxen an meinen Fernseher anschließen wollte, dieser aber keine 35mm Buchse hatte.Die Lösung ist dieses Kabel. Angeschlossen an den Fernseher und verbunden mit den Boxen ergibt sich hier ein Super Ton ohne Probleme.Das Kabel hat eine Länge von 1 Meter. Die Stecker sind vergoldet und machen auf mich einen stabilen und wertigen Eindruck. Bei dem Kabel handelt es sich um Glasfaser, was einen naturgetreuen und glasklaren Klang garantiert.Ich bin von dem Kabel begeistert und vergebe gerne 5 verdiente Sterne und eine Kaufempfehlung.Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist für die gelieferte Qualität sehr gut.

I am using this mini toslink to toslink optical cable to connect an Apple AirPort Express terminal, which uses the 3.5mm headphone style mini toslink end, to my HiFi DAC, thus enabling the use of airplay streaming from my iphone and iPad to my otherwise ‘disconnected’ HiFi separates.As expected the cable works perfectly well, no issues have been encountered. Being optical digital I am not expecting to hear a difference in sound quality when compared to the old cable it replaces.There are a few aspects that make this cable a good option. The gold plating on the two ends looks very good, the braided outer sheathing makes for a robust, practical and nice looking cable. The metal connectors themselves are solid and purposeful and fit snugly and securely into both the AirPort Express and the DAC. The inclusion of plastic end caps is a nice idea and will keep the connections clean and dust free when not in use.Overall this looks like a premium quality cable, without going as far as stripping it down to assess the quality of the materials and construction it’s hard to know if the premium appearance is limited to the outside.

This transfers music perfectly at a decent price. The cable seems to be top quality. Works for me.
