I was looking for a li-ion rechargeable that was as quiet as the regular alkaline. Absolutely all other 9v rechargeables I tried so far were creating a horrible noise, unusable. But not this one! This 650mah variant is really not creating any interference for my active pickup system (emg dg20 as shown). I compared back to back with a regular alkaline and did not detect any noticable noise difference (to be sure, there are preamp noises, there always are, but by my estimates not exceeding 60db either way, nothing that a nice pedal gate won't handle.)Why it was such a problem? It was because changing batteries for an active pickup pickguard like this is a pain. You need to open the pickguard every time, and if luck would have it, I would even be able to replace one without taking the trem bridge off. Ideally one would rather install a battery box somewhere in the back, but I haven't seen anyone actually doing this to a strat; besides, I lack the necessary tools/confidence I can successfully do a mod like this. But to install a USB socket to charge the rechargeable, that I can do. Now I can just plug the USB into the guitar without taking it apart, and have a new charge. Why it is quiet, unlike the others, I don't know. My best guess is it lacks the aggressive voltage regulator electronics, which in this case is highly desirable for the risks of having an interference.A note:this battery actually can negotiate the PD protocol and go charging beyond 5w. However, with just 2 power cables connected (as usually these USB 2 wire sockets come) the PD chargers won't work at all. Charging single speed 5w would still work with QC or regular charger, but not with a PD charger.

First bought these a couple of years ago to use for the 9 volt LED lights that snap on. They are excellent for that use case, and I just purchased two more. These are not the lowest price, but they are lighter than competing models, which makes them great for using with the LED light caps if you are a backpacker and are trying to shave weight - no other light is this light with this much capacity and brilliance, and ease of recharging. Very happy with these batteries and my older ones don’t seem to have lost any capacity since new.
