The product came in a secure package with a right set of tools. The unit worked well at first. However, there was an internal crack (panel crack underneath the cover glass).I reported the issue to the seller which sent me two additional units to try on. One of the units was a brand new replacement and worked.I was really impressed with the customer service. The seller certainly went above and beyond.

Our daughter's screen went kaput on her old MacBook Pro A1706 (got it in 2018), so I got this screen this week to replace it. As of 7-29-23 (a day after I replaced) it works just fine. My daughter says she doesn't notice any difference in brightness, but then again it's been at least a year and a half since she has used it (it was college final paper/final exam time and she needed a quick replacement so we got her a new McB P). So I'm happy with it and will update this review if it underperforms.TIPS:There's an outstanding YouTube video by UberGeeks that walks you step by step on the screen replacement for the A1706. I took my time and replaced the screen in under 2 hours. One thing - this screen comes with every torx and pentalobe bit you will need to get the job done-what a pleasant surprise. I had ordered an IFIXIT kit but the screen came before the kit arrived so I went ahead and replaced it with the tools that were provided. Another thing - people tend to complain about stripping screws with the tools they use and they blame the tools. If the screen has not been replaced before keep in mind that Apple over-torques some of its screws. If the screw doesn't budge with reasonable force, don't just keep turning the screwdriver. For several screws I had to press really - REALLY - hard down on the top of the screw driver with one hand while turning the screw driver very slowly with the other until the screw broke free. If you have ever used an impact screwdriver you will get the idea. I probably should have had a pair of plyers to make turning the screw driver easier but I was able to break all the screws free without it and without stripping them. One screw had me worried because it wouldn't budge and the screw bit spun a few times wearing it a little. But again, pressing really really hard down on the screwdriver and turning it incrementally was what broke it free for me.

I purchased a screen from GBOLE and it came broken only to find this out after it was installed. I reached out to their customer service team and they sent me a new one. I did pay our repair guy $150 to replace the first one and then again to replace the second one. I’m giving them four stars because I’m out $150 that I shouldn’t have had to pay in the first place if the first screen wasn’t damaged. Other than that, I love my new screen and there are zero issues with it. Just like new!

I was hesitant at first but decided to give it a try and I was very pleased with the whole process. The screen replacement is good quality and saved me a lot of money from going in to have it fixed by someone else or just buying a whole new laptop. The only thing I noticed that is different from the original screen is the Apple logo, on this product it’s more of like a black reflective plastic while on the original screen it’s a mirror. To be honest that little part is not even noticeable so it really doesn’t matter. I fixed my screen about a month ago and have no problems. VERY pleased with this product and would recommend anyone to purchase this replacement to fix their screens. JUST BE SURE TO FOLLOW A YOUTUBE VIDEO IF YOU ARE DOING IT YOUR SELF (follow instructions it comes with too)
