I don't have a heat gun so I used a hair dryer to remove the old screen on my macbook. Little tip if you don't have a heat gun. I also didnt have a pry tool and ended up using a plastic credit card.So about the product. It is crystal clear, fits perfectly and has very nice, and precisely preinstalled adhesive strips whi h make installation a dream. In the end it took me about 15 minutes to change the busted glass screen on my macbook. It seemed very durable and the packaging was also excellent. Generally it is easy to break a glass screen when shipping it, but the way they had it packaged in a nice stiff box with foam and adhesive plastic pretty much guaranteed it would not break unless it was intentionally done. Less than 15$ to fox the broken screen on my macbook. I would definitely say this is an excellent value.

The product is securely packaged in label that suggests it's a simple glass protector. Thick cardboard and a firm fitting frame ensure safe shipping. It promptly becomes clear this is a perfect match for the identified computer - Completed with Macbook Pro logo and opening for the camera.Installation is as described - remove the protective plastics, peel back the cover from the tape, align and apply pressure around the edges. It was very easy to install after the broken glass had been removed. Adhesion of the integrated tape is good. I didn't attempt to reposition the screen after initially installed.This was the first Macbook Pro glass replacement I have done. Applying proper heat and being patient will improve results and avoid additional cracking of the old glass. There is a gasket along the outer edge of the protective glass. A strong thin plastic spudger slowly worked along the edge will minimize damage to the gasket.
