The Fresnel lens is nice and bright. It came nicely packed in a small cardboard box and bubble wrap. I have nothing negative to say about the eTone Fresnel lens. It works perfectly.But I have an issue with the instructions on this website which say: "Installation instructions: place the Fresnel in front of the frosted glass, the matte surface to the lens and the light surface to the frosted glass."I disagree with that. I have a Toyo 45A with a Fresnel lens mounted by the factory. There the Fresnel lens sits in front of the ground glass with the shiny side of the Fresnel towards the lens. The Toyo Fresnel lens is a couple of millimeters shorter in length than the ground glass and does not interfere with the position of the ground glass. It is the ground glass that defines the position of the combo. The Fresnel is held in place with two long clips. Therefore it does not shift the focus.I have mounted my eTone Fresnel lens on a Toyo 45C that did not have one at the outset.If I should mount the eTone Fresnel lens in a similar manner as on the 45A, I would have to cut a couple of millimeters off each end of the Fresnel lens to make it sit correctly inside the frame and not alter the focus plane.I did not do that however, as I did not have the necessary clips to hold the Fresnel fixed to the ground glass and I also did not want to make cuts in the Fresnel lens. But the Fresnel lens can equally well be mounted behind the ground glass and placed with the shiny side outwards (facing the photographer). Placing it there is easy, and there is no need to modify the Fresnel lens, and the position of the ground glass is not affected. The Fresnel lens functions equally well placed here behind the ground glass - that's the way it is done on many brands of large format cameras.

Die Fresnellinse ist klar und hell. Gut gemacht. Die Lieferung war pünktlich. Leider ist sie für meine Wista (internationaler Standart) 2 Millimeter zu gross, nicht genau in den Massen. Ich habe sie "zuschneiden" müssen - wer schneidet schon gerne und mit ruhiger Hand eine Fresnellinse...? Es ist mir geglückt, aber das gibt zwei Punkte Abzug.
