Pros:+ Modular. Needles ranging from 0.15 to 0.6 are available and exchanging parts is done in seconds.+ Easy to clean. Cup is removable giving easy access while cleaning. Chrome finish makes the airbrush easy to just wipe most paints of of.+ Quality. The whole thing just feels premium. No seams, wiggle or rattle.+ Easy to disassemble. Removing the needle to clean it is very easy and switching needle and nozzle is done in under a minute without any tools.- The trigger action is slightly inconsistent. It feels like the point where paint flows differ from time to time. It's really an issue, but I hear more expensive models from Iwata are more predictable and consistent (but cost twice as much).- A bit pricier than mid-range airbrushes like the Ultra and models from Sparmax, but the latter lacks the modularity of the Evolution.This is my very first Airbrush, and I am SO glad I paid a little extra for a H&S instead of a generic cheapo airbrush. The whole thing feels premium as soon as you open the box. Nice, weighty feel and beautiful chrome finish (this is what the "CR" in the name means. Trigger is smooth and the angle of the cup means it doesn't interfere with it.Assembly/disassembly is extremely easy and one of the features I was shopping for was a removable paint cup, and the Evolution comes with a removable 2ml cup with 5ml upgrades available. This makes access to clean the airbrush very easy. The rest of the airbrush is also intuitive to assemble and removing the needle for cleaning is a breeze.There is no limiter on this airbrush, but one is sold separately. I was planning on getting one, but after using the Evo as is for a while I have kind of gotten used to the trigger and gained more control without aid.The brush comes with a 0.2 needle but needles and nozzles ranging from 0.15 to 0.6 is available which is nice. Removing the needle and nozzle+cap is tool-free and done in less than a minute. It also has a u-shapes nozzle cap instead of the "cage"-style ones other models and brands seem to have. This means the needle is a bit more exposed so one needs to take care when putting the airbrush away.I have so far used Vallejo Model Air and Model Color with Flow Improver and thinner mixed in and not experienced any bad clogging or other issues. One thing I have noticed is that the practice of "bubbling" the paint in the pot to mix it, which is done by blocking the needle while letting air flow without pulling back the trigger to engage the flow of paint (look it up on YouTube) rarely works well for me. It seems the best way to mix is with a brush in the cup or premixing. This could be user error since I'm still learning. I have also used primers from AMMO Mig and varnish in the airbrush without issues.In summary this costs 2-3x the price of the cheap chinese brushes here on Amazon, but it is well worth the cost seeing as its high quality with plenty of modularity.

Aérographe de bonne facture. Très bon fini CR+. Précis et de nettoyage facile sans prise de tête;tout comme les aérographe de cette excellente marque. Toutefois , il manque des accessoires qui font qu'il a ses limites; tel qu'un manche avec réglage de débit de peinture et éventuellement une valve de réglage d'arrivée d'air... Mais c'est chipoter. Produit a recommander pour débuter dans l'aérographe avec un bon compresseur.

Me ha gustado mucho, es un aerógrafo de calidad y, este en concreto, aunque no es el infinity, es muy bonito con los detalles en dorado.Di muchas vueltas antes de comprarme uno por fin. Mi primera opción era el más básico, el ultra, pero decían por ahí que el gatillo era más incómodo que este o el del infinity. Al final fue este por el precio en vez del infinity, que en prestaciones para pintar miniaturas de resina, como aficionada voy sobrada.Compré la versión CR plus porque dicen que es más todoterreno, mas resistente a disolventes, por lo que será también más duradero.Comprado por 135€, buen precio ya que varía mucho.Desconfiad si os viene sin el plástico de fuera, la caja a mí me venía plastificada , si no lo tiene, puede ser una devolución.

I bought one of these airbrushes to work alongside my H&S Infinity CR Plus airbrush. At the moment I have a 0.2 mm set-up in the latter and a 0.4 mm setup in the Evolution CR Plus (for Acrylic primers and base coats).These brushes are fantastic, the feel whilst spraying is just silky smooth. Compared to most of the Iwata range with their tiny paint nozzles they are extremely easy to clean and maintain. No tools needed on the Evolution.One of the outstanding features of both of these brushes is the two-pronged needle protector which allows easy cleaning of the needle tip whilst working (just pinch between finger and thumb). No other airbrush has this feature. It is worth its weight in gold. It also allows a clear view of any paint build up.The two brushes are very similar and many parts, e.g. nozzles/needle set ups can be swapped from one to the other. The only difference between them are the adjustable quick fix paint stop which is standard on the Infinity, but is available as an extra on the Evolution CR Plus, and the needle chuck housing. On the Infinity this allows for adjustment of trigger “weight” for spraying. However, the Evolution CR Plus does not actually need this. The trigger as supplied is light and very, very smooth. Again, this brush could be converted to the Infinity CR Plus needle chuck arrangement if desired.Both airbrushes mentioned can be fitted with: 0.15 mm, 0.2 mm, 0.4 mm and 0.6 mm nozzle/needle set-ups. Again, no other airbrush has this facility. Finally, which may be important depending on your spraying needs, there are many different paint cup sizes which can be fitted too (FYI: H&S “Colani” cups fit as well).Notes: I have been using airbrushes since 1967 and I am a serious fan of Harder & Steenbeck. This is just yet another example of this breed. Feel, quality, reliability, versatility, easy to clean and maintain all in one. What more could you possibly ask for?ADDENDUM: Why the Evolution CR Plus and not the Evoltuion – the former is Copper/Nickel/Chrome plated and the latter is just Copper/Nickel plated. Nickel discolours and wears with time and some people are actually allergic to it. This is not the case with the Chrome, which is hypoallergenic.
