I love this vacuum, but the hose is the weakest point. The last time I replaced the hose was 2 years ago and I bought the factory replacement.It costs 2x the price of this and it looks like the hose is the same as the original.Time will tell how well it holds up, the previous hose kinked up and was unusable after 24 months.Best, Greg
