There is no incentive for positive or negative reviews; this is my actual opinion of the item.The tl;dr is that this is an excellent quality rear basket, of decent size to hold cargo without being so big as to throw off your balance. It appears to be durable, maybe "rugged" but with a nicer finish than that word suggests. I would highly recommend it if you're in need of a basket to mount to the rear rack behind the saddle of your bike.More detail: the basket is made of pipe that has been bent and welded together. As such, it's very solid, though not as heavy as you might imagine when I say "welded" and "pipe."There's a smooth satiny black finish on it, very low gloss and with a tiny bit of texture to it, but super hard. I'm pretty sure this is powder coating. It would probably eventually get scratched, as all things do, but it would take something sharp with a fair bit of force to do so.It comes with a liner and two covers, to protect and contain the cargo. The liner ought to keep small objects from falling through the basket or out the sides. The two covers have different functions. One is for covering from weather-more on that in next paragraph-, the other is an elastic net with hooks to hold the cargo in place. Trust me, gravity is not enough to hold your stuff in a basket when you hit a bump. Even a deep container can lose some of its contents when they absorb that kinetic energy and self-yeet.There's a weather resistant cover with an elasticated hem around it, like a fitted sheet, for going over the cargo and keeping off at least Some of the direct sunlight or rain or what have you. I wouldn't expect this to be completely waterproof though, since it's a membrane covering and not an enclosed container. But you could put a small tote, or a weatherproof bag, in the basket if you need actual weatherproofing. But for stuff that won't be damaged by like, one or two drops getting past somewhere- groceries as opposed to books, for instance- this cover should be plenty to keep rain out unless it's torrential rain or really windy.This cargo basket would have been above my price range normally, but I can see what I've been missing and the difference in quality really feels worth it to me going forward. I've had several of the thinner baskets that are made of wire, and while they were useful, they couldn't withstand the weight of their contents, combined with side panniers, on a bumpy ride, or the lateral forces from the bike leaning sideways while parked and loaded down. This, however, I think would be able to carry more than my sense of balance can accommodate. In other words the cyclist would tip over before the basket showed any signs of distress.You need a cargo rack behind your saddle? This one's excellent. Would recommend.

This rear bicycle basket is fantastic! Large enough to hold groceries, my backpack or picnic provisions with extra space. The included liner, as well as the cargo net and waterproof cover, are such thoughtful extras — everything stays in place, no matter the weather or conditions. A cinch to install, and it is flush against my e-bike rack.I didn’t know I needed this all my life until I started using it — I guess now I can run errands, commute, or go out on a day trip without being concerned about how to carry everything. IT’S MADE biking so much more convenient and enjoyable. Highly recommend for any rider wanting to add a TON of storage to their bike!

I really like this bike cargo basket—it’s exactly what I needed for the back of my bike. It feels super sturdy and well-made, like it’s built to last, but it’s also surprisingly lightweight so it doesn’t weigh down my ride. The included cargo liner is a great bonus—perfect for groceries, gear, or even laying down a little pet bed. I also really appreciate the cargo net that comes with it; it keeps everything secure no matter how bumpy the ride gets. Overall, this basket is a great value and I’m super happy with the purchase!

The cargo bag is definitely water proof, it will hold water if you get rained on! Great quality! The amount you can put in it is great also. Pretty easy to install onto a universal bike rack, it doesn't mount on its own though. I did have to buy a rack seperately just to be able to mount it. We use it a lot riding to the grocery store. It looks great on my son's bike.
