Das Teil soll angeblich mit so ziemlich jeder Schnellwechselplatte funktionieren. Mit der Platte meines Sirui Stativs klappt es schon einmal nicht. Also retour.Darüber hinaus finde ich den Mechanismus wenig vertrauen erweckend. Was aus der Beschreibung nicht wirklich hervorgeht: das Teil hält am Rucksack lediglich mit einem dünnen Schnürchen und einem ebenfalls sehr dünnen kleinen Plastikteil. Ja, jetzt beim Ausprobieren funktioniert das gut und ich habe sowohl auf einem dickeren Rucksack Schultergurt als auch auf dem deutlich dünneren aber breiteren Gurt einer Umhängetasche eine gute Fixierung erreicht. Aber wie lange geht das gut? Es sieht jedenfalls nicht sehr vertrauen erweckend aus.

Very high quality piece of kit. Definitely has many uses and is nice and lightweight. Be aware you do need the actual plate that fits into it, it does not come with this. I really lock that you can lock the quick-release toggle to prevent any accidental releases. More great stuff from this company!

Der FALCAM F38 Schnellverschluss-Clip ist ein praktischer Begleiter für unterwegs. Mit einem einzigen Klick lässt sich die Montage durchführen – ganz ohne Schrauben. Obwohl die Kamera nur 86 Gramm schwer ist, kann sie bis zu 30 kg tragen (mein Nikon Z6 hält ohne Probleme). Die flexible Anpassung des Riemens und die zusätzliche Sicherung verhindern ein unbeabsichtigtes Lösen. Für alle, die schnell ihre Kamera griffbereit und sicher verstaut haben wollen!

Nachdem ich einige Zeit ein anderes (überteuertes) Konkurrenzprodukt benutzt habe und damit nicht wirklich glücklich wurde (Schrauben haben sich immer wieder gelockert und lagen auf der Rückseite frei und die Nutzung verlief sehr "hackelig"), bin ich nun auf Falcam umgestiegen. Hier stört nun nichts mehr beim Tragen am Rucksack und die Nutzung klappt super! Die Lieferung erfolgte problemlos und super schnell! Meine klare Empfehlung!

Mostly due to the cost, I chose this over Peak Design.I've been using this in conjunction with the tripod fast release plate.It's quite easy to swap between a tripod and a camera strap.I can rest easy knowing that the camera is locked in thanks to its nice click.The build quality is excellent.

This product will be a bit hard to review for me. I've seen Falcam products — and particularly this one — repeatedly in some photography focused videos, very highly rated, and I always considered eventually buying one. Last year I've gotten the simple quick-release for Arca from Falcam and has been happy with it. So I was really excited about getting this quick release strap mount when it appeared on my Amazon suggestions.On arrival, it makes a great impression, and I really like the cleverly designed system that attaches the base mount to the backpack strap. If feels reassuringly solid and I have no worries it might disengage. So far so good.What doesn't feel solid is the combination of the strap base mount with the standard bottom camera (Falcam 38) mount, the piece that you screw onto your camera tripod mount, and that’s not particular to the strap release, but is shared among multiple Falcam products, and even some competitors.When walking all day around a city, with frequent camera release and attach actions, and with some vibrations from walking, pretty soon this tripod-screw mounted plate becomes loose and the camera starts to rotate. I think the issue is that both my most used cameras (Fuji X-E3 and Sony A7C) have pretty smooth bottom surface around the tripod mount, and no matter how tightly I screw the plate onto them, it loosens up again. The rest of the features work nice, no issues with release/attach or lock actions.I think it's not as much Falcam construction fault, it’s more like “wrong idea”, at least for me. It's caused by the fact that camera tripod mounts do not have any Arri-like securing pin, and are not designed to hold the camera at an angle with frequent vibrations and movements. So what isn’t an issue on a tripod becomes an issue when hung vertically and with vibrations and forces. Maybe if I had significantly lighter cameras (I do use lightweight prime lenses though), or screwed the tripod plate even stronger, or used different cameras with some more "sticky" bottom, it might work, but not so much for me. Still, it works for a short walk, or during transit.So, to conclude, the product itself makes a good impression, but there are some conditions you need to meet in order to be happy with it. You have to have light gear, or screw the camera plate onto your camera MEGA tightly, or you don’t walk too much with camera attached. Then it’s perfect. If you’re in a situation like me, then the experience is mediocre at best.
