I got the ruby version (ruby-colored cz), and it's pretty dark, as in well into garnet territory. That dark color is also within the ruby spectrum, but it's the really, really expensive ones and most people are more accustomed to seeing lighter rubies. I like the dark color myself. The stones are fine, not blow your hair back outstanding, and a little less than perfectly crystalline.The pendant and chain both are stamped 925, and nothing reacts to a magnet other than the clasp on the chain, which is normal and expected since the inner spring should not be made of sterling.All told, this is not a bad piece, though I'm not sure I'd stretch to $70 for sterling and cz of this size and quality. It's pretty, but not breathtaking, and cz should really be breathtaking at that price.
