My kids have inherited my Nerf foam weapon collection from when I was a kid. Those things were amazing - the foam was pretty soft and you could swing those things as hard as you wanted without getting damaged. Well, it turns out that little kids can damage those weapons without fighting with them, and I turned to Amazon to help with replacing the collection. My first order (from a different seller) was a Gladiator-style sword, and this sword was my second. While both swords described themselves as foam swords, the foam quality was very different than my old Nerf weapons. This foam is harder, and the blade edges are sharper. I would not want to get hit with this sword, and I believe using it against the old Nerf weapons actually would have damaged the Nerf weapons. So, unfortunately, I cannot use it for its intended purpose. That said, this thing looks pretty cool. I particularly like the feel of the hilt. If you're looking for this for cosplay purposes and not fighting or LARPing or whatever, then this is a great choice.

You're not going to find a better Legend of Zelda prop for under $25, full stop. The sword is smaller than most other props but is about average for what you see across Link's various incarnations. I would call it a "shortsword" as opposed to a "longsword" if you're going with traditional fantasy/D&D terminology. The sword is all foam on the outside, so it is safe to bring to a convention as part of a cosplay, but there is a lightweight solid core in the middle to keep its shape. There are some mold lines down the center, but in profile the sword looks great, with clean detailing and colors that pop.Are there better swords out there? Absolutely, but not at this price point.

This Zelda Fantasy Foam Sword looks just like the pictures. It is considerably more firm than I had anticipated though. Firm enough that the too small box it was shipped in was pierced by the tip of the sword when it arrived. The sword had no damage to it. I was expecting something more like the NERF weaponry from years ago. I would much rather get hit by one of those. Build quality is okay. the paint job is rough but standard for foam toys. It definitely looks like a Zelda weapon. Fun toy but, be careful with the kids using it.

This is a nice little sword. It's very well detailed, smoothly done, and perfectly painted/colored. It is shorter and thinner than I thought that it would be, but that's because me and measurements just don't click. It's more a size for a younger child than an adult if you're wanting this for cosplay. I'm going to hang this one over my husband's gaming tv, since Zelda is his fave, and he has a much larger one that is too heavy to hang. This comes with the sword only, no sheath or belt hook, but that's clear on the listing, so no big for me. I already have some acrylic hooks to hang this on and I'm looking forward to him being surprised by this at Christmas. It's lightweight enough to hang with some 3m backing, I think. The price is fair for the quality. While it's on the smaller size, it's much better painted and more smoothly finished than some cosplay swords that I have that are a bit larger. So, quality is the winner here.

This sword looks so cool with my boyfriend's gaming set up. He is a massive Zelda fan and he loves it so much! It is lightweight enough that our 7 year old can swing it around but it is made out of a really sturdy foam material so it isn't floppy or anything at all.
