Ordered 2 brands to compare quality, but mainly buying for the PONY, as a newbie to leather stitching. Tosnail is pony only, no add-ons, but its quality (wood weight) and build (joint alignment) is much better. Joints line up. FASTTOBUY is made of light weight wood, so I doubt it would hold up to strains of clamping; feels slimsy. Some of the FASTTOBUY joints clearly do not line up (almost beveled surfaces) so strength obviously is reduced. Glad I made the effort to compare on site, as it is hard to judge from reviews. FASTTOBUY is going back.

Many leather stitching ponies available for purchase are of poor quality. If you want a good stitching pony you will have to build your own or ask a friend with woodworking tools/skills to build one for you. This particular stitching pony appears to be the best available via Amazon.ca but it is far from good quality. While the beech wood used to construct this product is solid it arrived with several pieces significantly warped and twisted. The jaws don't line up, the hinge is of poor quality, the wood is unfinished. I would say the only good part of this stitching pony is the "nuts and bolts" hardware (less the hinge). Furthermore, this particular pony design is difficult to use for mounting your work unless you have a third hand. And the price:quality ratio is awful. This same style of stitching pony could easily be built a quarter of the price I paid for it. I don't recommend this product.

Seit ich dieses Teil habe, macht das Leder Nähen von Hand richtig Spaß. Ich kann es nur weiter empfehlen.

Pretty nice to use however it’s a bit tall for me and I wish the 360 swivel was lockable. It’s where it attaches to the bottom and it basically just freely spins unless you actively hold it in place. I tried tightening the screw but it’s as tight as it will go and still spins. I get that that part is nice to be movable but it would also be nice to choose to lock it or something

Habe mich nach längerem hin und her für die teurere Version eines Nähponys entschieden. Sieht auch auf den ersten Blick gut aus. Holz gut verarbeitet und auch schön glatt. Das Leder muss man sich wie bei fast allen Herstellern selbst aufkleben. Leider ist die Bedienung etwas umständlich, da man ja an beiden Schrauben drehen muss um die Klemme festzuziehen. Man hat ja sein Projekt auch noch zu halten. Mit dem Knie kann man es dann durchaus festhalten. Ich hätte mich wohl lieber für die günstigere Variante entscheiden sollen. Da aber die Verarbeitung ganz gut ist trotzdem 4 Sterne.
