Nice headlamp the light body is rugged, and this light has both a warm white beam and a cool white beam with about the same output with each. I'm not sure I really needed both, but okay.Because of the partial wire design of the twist-tight or loosen headband, I would not use this on a serious expedition, only mild to medium trails and walks. The little wires that hold the headband together would make me paranoid about catching them on something and breaking them. You can see this in my photos, but it is a nice design and works well; just consider that for your own use.

I've only used it once on a trail race: The light was good even on the medium setting; however, battery life seemed kind of paltry. Also, as the battery life wanes, per its design, it ratchets itself down (reduces brightness settings) to save battery. All good, EXCEPT I never made it back from a 3.3-mi loop before it was non-usable (glowing, but useless for illuminating the ground). That's fast. And, I started with a FULL charge just after dark using mostly medium setting, and it didn't make to sunrise. That seemed shorter than the advertised battery life. However, after a few charge/discharge cycles, this may improve. ??? Ergonomically, it's great, and I love the knob-tightener. Great feature!
