It was basically ok but made of cheap, thin-ish plastic, meaning it bends too easily.When I screwed the outer unit to the patio door (to replace a broken one), the unit bent a little in the middle leaving a part of the door vent holes exposed in the middle. Granted that these may have been cut in the door a little too big, but nonetheless, I didnt expect the vent to bend as much.I was able to screw (could have used PVC glue but didnt want problems removing it in the future) in a bit of thin plastic (cut to size) at the point where it bent, to push it back up again (i.e. straighten it).Additionally, there is no mesh/gauze to stop insects like the previous one. Granted the previous one was more up-market and likely more expensive but couldnt find a direct replacement.I sorted this problem out by using some fine mesh I purchased for covering plants. (This was also white so blended in nicely).

Had broken vents and got these. Ok but cheap and would buy different design next time. See some where flap pivots inside housing so when wind blows the flap is forced onto housing and seal even tighter so would use these over this where wind bows cover and slight draught or whistle possible

Brought this to replace the old one. Value for money and fits well. It was a good fit and easy enough for me to screw into place. It performs well

Good product that does what it says on the tin. Is a bit flimsy but once attached to the window, it works perfectly fine. Take care when thinking about where to place it on your window frame.It definitely helped watching a YouTube tutorial beforehand as the supplied instructions are pretty vague.Provides enough fresh air in conjunction with an extractor fan to clear condensation from our bathroom window after the shower has been on in winter.
