Yep, it does attach to a standard Festool orbital sander, and works fine on wood surfaces. You don't need a Rotex with this.

Top notch stuff as usual from Festool. Perfectly suited to the RO150, works a treat with MPA 5000 one step polish. I use this on wood finishes for a super high gloss, have also used it on automotive paints with equally good results. For automotive stuff you might want to start with the sheepskin but work up to one of Festools sponge type things and a finer polish.The Premium Sheepskin rinses out easily, but take a while to dry though, as you might expect. I can tell you that trying to speed up the drying process in your microwave is not a good idea.Supplied in a useful clear resealable pack.

5 discs of 6 inch diameter high quality, thick felt with soft velcro on the back. I don't have much experience with polishing mediums, but these seem like they would last a long time. I got them for an unconventional use, I stuck them on my festool sander and used them with water to clean the vinyl floor in a kitchen. This actually worked very well, although I'm not sure it saved me any time over just scrubbing by hand! It was a lot easier than scrubbing by hand though, so I recommend these for that use as well as the typical polishing use.Note, my sander has a 5 inch pad, so these had a half inch of overlap on the outside. This didn't affect my use at all, and would seem to not be a problem for any case where you are polishing a flat surface. If you need to get up to sharp contours it could be a problem.
