I got these drill bits specifically to drill out holes in an ipe fence that I built this past fall. using wax on the drill bit every time when I drill was a big help. Ipe is a really dense wood so the festool drill bits were a good value in that they did not burn out nearly as fast as some other brands, they held their edge much longer, especially when used with wax to reduce the heat on the drill bit. Highly reccomended for working with dense woods

10 sharp replacement bits for 15.00 bucks is not bad considering they do last a while, they have flat spots ground on bits so they don't slip after you tighten them down.
