Hab den Dorn zu meiner Dewalt Fräse bestellt. Ist etwas wertiger als der standard Zentrierdorn. Hat bisher gut funktioniert.

I’ve bought every centering cone there is trying not spend the $40 on this one. Nothing comes close to this one for accuracy. In both 1/4” and 8mm collets, I get no more than .001 runout with the festool. Probably the router motor or collet itself causing the runout. I have plastic cones, brass cones, plastic/metal ones. They all run-out .005–.015” Not much, but when you’re trying to center 2 router sub bases/bushings for dovetails on a Leigh jig, every thousandth counts.This festool I got has a gunmetal finish. Festool logo and part number are etched on the tool. It comes with a plastic storage case.Festool—please make a 1/2” versionAs always. You get what you pay for.

Leider ein MUSS für alle die, die mit dem Kopier-Ring arbeiten wollen, da dieser keine Senkungen mit Senkschrauben hat, die den Ring automatisch zentrieren.Leider etwas teuer, aber alternativlos.

In my earlier woodworking days, I would attribute deviations from the ideal when using a router with center guides as just something to be expected. Later I came to realize that there is enough play in the mechanism of attaching the center guide to the base of the router that except for luck, the center of the router bit and the center of the opening of the guide would be off enough that different orientations of the router would produce cuts that weren't just where you would wish them to be. Then, I discovered this little tool which aligns the center guide dead-on with the router bit. Now, there is no more problem! There are other similar products that are made of plastic that are cheaper. The greater non-deform-ability of metal I believe turns this device into a tool possessing lifetime dependability and accuracy. It is, after all, a Festool and owning several tools of this brand, the quality is second to none!
