This is a very well constructed and durable document bag to store/transport a limited number of 8 1/2” x 11” documents without folding. Although it is supposedly fire “proof”, like most, I hope I never have to find out if this is true (it probably is NOT based on local experience with some pretty devastating fires recently), and I have no intention on testing this out 😂. However, I do think that it is very, very water resistant based on its construction. The surface feels a little “rubbery” as it is infused with a fire and water resistant silicone (?) coating. The zipper is definitely a “waterproof” type zipper seen on water “proof” type heavy weather gear. As you can see from the photos, the zippers really seal well. In addition, they are protected by a substantial flap which is held in place with a very, very strong hook and loop fasteners (it is so strong as to be actually difficult to peel apart once stuck together!). The zippers work very smoothly once started, however, one gripe with the bag is that in order to fit 8 1/2” x 11” documents in place (the interior dimensions are supposedly 10” x 13” but in practical terms is slightly smaller) you have to open the zippers to their full extent. Once you do this, it is very difficult to get the zippers to “start” again because they are so “tight”. Once you get the zippers started, they are very smooth and as previously mentioned, seal very well. The bag is very substantial in construction and weighs in at 573g empty due to its many layers of fire”proofing” fabric. However, because the bag itself is relatively narrow, there is not a lot of room inside for a lot of full size documents, so you will have to choose carefully what you wish to protect. It could be 5 stars (instead of the 4 stars I gave it) if the bag were just slightly larger in all dimensions, but mainly in interior width so that more documents could be placed in it, or at least more easily fitted into the bag.A nice feature to discourage prying eyes is the built in zipper lock. Interestingly, the type of zipper lock is the same type of “lock” that is on the weapons compartment of my pistol range bag. It is a three number settable combination “lock” that you clip the ends of the zipper pulls into to lock them in place. While this will not prevent anyone from taking the bag or from simply cutting it open, it is a bit of a visual deterrent, or at least makes it a little more time consuming to get into the bag.Regarding the interior space, with some effort, the bag will accommodate a few letter sized file folders so you can keep your documents organized and the file folders will help to protect the edges of your documents from becoming bent. That being said, this is a little too small to be able to easily access your documents so this is more of a “go bag” for documents (it also has a wrist strap) that you wish to save in the event of a fire etc. The reason I ordered this bag is that unlike some other fire and water “proof” bags I have, this one was sized for letter sized documents. Other bags were just a little too small and would have required me to fold some important letter sized documents that I did not wish to fold. Again, the main limitation to this bag for letter sized documents is the lack of width in the bag interior. It would work fine for smaller documents or items (passports, checkbooks, and or other small items like usb drives, pink slips to your autos, extra keys etc.) or for letter sized documents if you are willing to put a little effort into carefully fitting them into the bag. Overall, a very nice bag to help protect your items.

Recently a friend had a fire in their house and everything burned down except for his documents and cash which he had placed in a safe. I don't have any safe or even a place where I can put a safe. So I researched and ordered this fireproof document bag to protect my important documents and valuables! The combination lock adds an extra layer of security, ensuring privacy, and setting a new password was quick and easy with the provided instructions. The 6500°F fire protection and 360° fireproof design give me peace of mind, knowing my items are safe from extreme heat. Plus, the waterproof layers make it even more reliable. The reflective strip is a great touch for easy visibility in emergencies. It’s well-built, and perfect for home use. While it says the size is over14 inches, the internal size won't fit documents bigger than letter size. But still definitely worth the investment!

I like this. Of course hoping I never have to test the fire-proof feature.Could probably use something slightly bigger. Have a lot of documents that need protection.

Large and thick enough to fit about a 3-subject notebook's worth of documents, but won't fit anything that's tabloid size or larger without folding. Seems to be decently watertight but I wouldn't submerge it for long periods. I held a lighter up to it and it didn't burn, but I don't know how well this would hold up in an extreme fire situation. If someone was really determined they could probably cut through this to get at the documents but it would take a lot of time and you'd know it was tampered with. Overall I like this, but the current listed price of almost 30 dollars USD seems overpriced for what you get. Note that the lock is plastic and not metal and would probably melt if exposed to extreme heat.

I see that some other reviewers have tested this thoroughly, holding a propane torch to it and such, and reporting the results, so I don't intend to repeat their efforts.Assuming this is as fire protective as is claimed, it's a straightforward tool for protecting a small quantity of home documents or other precious objects, but it will never be as useful as a real fire safe or storing really important documents off-site in a bank safe deposit box.The most useful feature is the integrated combination lock that could keep curious fingers from getting into your stash.
