I walk three small dogs. These round cords are much easier to handle. The ribbon style get knotted up and jam when retrieving.

This is a durable retractable leash that works. But I walk my cat and I keep getting worried that because it's like a wire style that he might tangle himself up in it and get his head/neck caught. Cats wrangle all around a leash. So this style makes me nervous and I mostly use another one that I have and this is the backup leash :

Love this leash! Had one and lost it so I bought another one. It fits my hand (which is small)perfectly and is easy for my little one to not get far with the lock feature. Thinking of buying a backup!

Perfect for a small dog. I got the X-Small for a 9 lb. Yorkie. The cord design is so much better than the tape design that constantly twists as he runs around. With this cord design, twisting isn't a factor. The cord goes in and comes out straight every time.

It is nice, but as others have said, ridiculously tiny handle. I am female and have an okay grip on it but the males that have tried to use it complain that it's far too dainty. Yes, my dog is tiny, but not everyone who may walk her is. All in all it's a quality product, but I would definitely recommend increasing the handle size in the future.
