As the title suggests I'm not a big fan of this lighting kit, especially at this price. It's sold as a starter kit, but the truth is that photographers who just start out will never need this many equipment, and pro photographers who need such a kit would never ever consider this one. Here's my reasoning:Packaging: the kit arrived in a big box, which was really lightweight and I immediately had a bad feeling about the quality of these items. I have to mention, that using this much single use plastic in the packaging is simply unacceptable in this day an age, and amazon should start to enforce better packaging practices. It's also ironic how all of these cheap stuff need to be protected from scratches while they look and feel cheap and nasty and no one would bat an eye if they arrived somewhat scuffed. Their quality is so low, scratches are the least of worries.Let's look at each item in this bundle separately.4x light stand - these have to be the flimsiest stands I have ever seen. They are made of the thinnest aluminium one can imagine, held together by a lot of cheap plastic. When I say plastic, imagine the toy soldiers from the 80's plastic. Weak and brittle with visible imperfections around the edges. Ridiculous! Their claimed max height is 200cm but they can hardly stay upright at the lowest setting without any load on them.2x backdrop stand - the same can be said about these stands as the others. super flimsy, cheap and nasty. The rod connecting the two stands is actually decent quality. It seems to have more substance than all the other stands put together. Sadly the provided backdrop hung from this rod almost made the two stands buckle under the weight...Backdrops: these are okay, and quite large. not for group photos, but they are fine for individuals and products. I found the thickness usable, even at max flash power (I didn't use it with the included dim lights) the light didn't penetrate it. They become wrinkled easily, as expected from cloth backgrounds, so having a steam iron around is handy. They have a loop on the top, to feed through the backdrop bar, and a few clips are included too.Umbrellas - they are functional and super lightweight. workmanship is again pretty bad.Soft boxes - these are rectangle soft boxes which most pro photographers advise against as the shape of their light is really not that good. The light sockets are built into these ones, so no chance of using these soft boxes with another light source. They have a strong adhesive smell that will take a long time to disappear. The led socket is built in so no chance of using it with a different light (without altering the product). They open like an umbrella. The diffusing sheet is pretty bad, does very little to spread the light, the light source is clearly visible through it (one layer only).Collapsible reflector - probably the best item in this kit. does what it says on the tin. In real life it's only 56cm across as opposed to the advertised 60cm.LED lights - these use e27 screw mounts, like a normal light bulb and they are equipped with heat sinks. They are very dim! It might look bright to the human eye, but for the camera, they are super super dim. Useless I'd say. To expose correctly, one would need to use very slow shutter speeds or very high isos. There is no way to change the light temperature, intensity on the light itself, for these one would need to use the included remotes. They need 2xAAA batteries which are not included in the package. The remotes are okay, the buttons are pleasant to press. One remote can operate all the lights, by pointing it at each so why include 4 remotes, each and every one of them wrapped in crinkly plastic!!! The lightbulbs will become incredibly hot after a few minutes use, even with the heatsink.Carry bag: on the photo it looks taut and like it had rigid walls. In reality it's a shapeless bag, with weak walls that could not hold anything tidy. It smells badly too, some sort of glue or chemical. Cheap thing that will make any photographer look unprofessionalTo conclude the review: this set is not worth it. Even if there are some things that are okay (backdrops, backdrop bar, reflector) those can't justify buying this set as on their own they'd cost a lot less. Starter photographers should avoid this kit. There are too many things in it, one would not need early on, and that eats up the budget. Instead they should look for one or two things from this kit and spend the same amount of money to get something decent. A decent light stand cost the same as this whole kit. Or if price is everything, then just don't buy this kit, buy cheap things one buy one, still better value. For those photographers, who'd use this many things in their kit...well they are not reading this review as they would not have clicked on the product in the first place. Not recommended!

Dieses Set ist hervorragend zusammengestellt. Das Green Screen- und Hintergrund-Setup steht auf soliden, hochwertigen Metallbeinen und die Beleuchtung ebenso. Die Leuchten an sich sind ein guter Grundstock, auf dem man für die erste Studioausrüstung gut aufbauen kann und mit der einen oder anderen professionellen Erweiterung wird man schrittweise ein professionelles Studio nach seinen ganz speziellen Vorlieben erstellen. Dazu ist dieses Set auch noch relativ leicht in einer praktischen Tragetasche untergebracht und damit ist man auch für Außenaufnahmen oder für Shootings unterwegs mit geringen Investitionen recht professionell aufgestellt. Alles, was man für den Einstieg braucht und eigentlich sogar schon mehr… 

PROS-decent background cloths (all the included clips help pull them taught).-useful set of lighting modifiers (shoot-through umbrellas don’t get the respect that they deserve as mods, but I do have to admit I prefer white interior umbrellas to silver)-a helpful array of reflector surfaces (beginners always underestimate the usefulness of reflectors)-quite long power cables-decent (if very lightweight) lighting stands-nice to have a carry case and bags for the various bits-bi-colour LED bulbs with remotes (quite versatile)-a useful kit for a beginner or an intermediate photographer looking to get into lighting at a lower price pointCONS-background cloths are pretty thin (just make sure there are no competing lights behind them, and you’ll be ok).-not particularly powerful bulbs, so make sure your studio is dim-no clamp to hold reflector on a light stand-a bit pricey, for what you are gettingMY STAR RATINGS:1* substandard, mostly cons2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros

Ich habe mir das Foccalli Fotostudio-Set als All-in-One-Lösung für den Einstieg in die Studiofotografie geholt – hauptsächlich für Porträts und Produktaufnahmen. Auf den ersten Blick wirkt das Paket beeindruckend: Softboxen, LED-Lampen, Regenschirme, Hintergrundsystem inkl. Greenscreen und sogar Reflektor und Tragetasche – hier ist alles dabei, was man sich für ein kleines Heimstudio wünscht. Aber wie so oft gilt: Quantität ≠ Qualität.1. Was mir gefallen hat:- Umfang: Wirklich alles dabei – ich musste nichts separat bestellen, um direkt loszulegen.- Softboxen + Lampen: Die LED-Leuchtmittel (mit Fernbedienung) bieten Farbtemperaturanpassung (2700–6400K) und dimmbares Licht. Das funktioniert zuverlässig.- Backdrop-Setup: Die drei Hintergründe (schwarz, weiß, grün) sind ausreichend groß für Einzelporträts oder Tutorials. Die Teleskopstange hält sie ordentlich – solange man sie richtig aufspannt.- Reflektor 5-in-1: Kompakt, zusammenfaltbar und tatsächlich brauchbar – ein nützliches Add-on.- Für Einsteiger ausreichend: Man kann damit tatsächlich gute Ergebnisse erzielen, wenn man kein High-End-Setup erwartet.2. Was (mich) stört:- Verarbeitung: Die Stative sind extrem leicht und instabil – schon bei leichtem Zug am Kabel schwanken sie. Alles aus dünnem Aluminium mit viel Plastik. Für Hobby oder vorsichtigen Indoor-Einsatz geht das gerade noch – draußen oder mit schwererer Technik würde ich’s nicht riskieren.- Softbox-Qualität: Riechen stark chemisch beim Auspacken, Licht wirkt punktuell trotz Diffusor (nur 1 Schicht) – Lichtverteilung ist also eher mittelmäßig.- Tasche: Das ist eher ein Sack als eine stabile Tasche. Keine Trennung, kein Halt, alles fällt ineinander. Für den Transport ist da Eigeninitiative gefragt.- LED-Leistung: Zwar regelbar, aber nicht sehr lichtstark. Man muss mit höheren ISO-Werten oder längeren Belichtungszeiten arbeiten, was nicht immer optimal ist.Ein massives Set mit großer Ausstattung, das gerade für Einsteiger oder als mobile Notlösung durchaus taugt – wenn man die Grenzen kennt. Für diesen Preis (aktuell um die 160–200 €) ist das Gesamtpaket ok, aber man muss Abstriche bei Material und Lichtqualität machen. Wer sich ein langlebiges, professionelles Setup aufbauen will, sollte gezielter investieren – für erste Gehversuche im Heimstudio reicht es aber definitiv.
