I ordered this from Amazon because my old vacuum pump was leaking from it's internal seal (see bottom of pic 4). Mercedes do not sell the internal seal for this pump, and the only supplier I could find on the internet was from the U.S. based company RKX. RKX sell a kit of 3 parts - gasket (pump to engine), internal seal (pump itself) and a small sealing ring (vacuum pump to camshaft). The kit costs around $30, and shipping is another $21 (to Ireland, where I live). So for about $51 I could replace the seals and gaskets on my sixteen year old vacuum pump and cross my fingers that my lovely CLK would stop leaking oil on my driveway.Or I could buy a completely new Frankberg pump which also comes with a new gasket (in plastic bag - pic 1) and a camshaft seal (green ring near top of pic 3) for just €95. At this price it is a complete no-brainer.The job itself is very quick. It took me about 20 minutes to remove the old pump and fit the new one. Make sure to note the angle of the drive shaft connection on the old pump when you remove it. You will need to turn the shaft on your new pump to the exact same angle so it fits into your camshaft. Be very careful not to over tighten the two M6x25 hexalobular bolts which hold the pump onto the back of the engine. Mercedes recommend a torque setting of just 9nm for this. Now my 2006 CLK is perfect again. My driveway is dry and clean. I am very happy with this pump and it is a fantastic deal at this price. I include pics of the new pump beside the old one, so you can see them both.
