Delivery was quick and arrived safe and sound. Workmanship was superb, unlike some I've found. Stands on it's own. Be warned that it will warp in heat; it's only vinyl.

If you've read my reviews, you probably know that I place pretty high value on aesthetic quality. The balance of aesthetics and efficiency literally brings me joy in life. In this case, I was blown away by how aesthetically pleasing the live action Maleficent film was, specifically the redesign of the titular character, as portrayed by Angelina Jolie. The pale white face and the jet black head covering and horns, coupled with the higher than high cheek bones and the rose red lips was too perfectly contracted for me to handle. So I bought this Funko Pop! Figure as a constant reminder of the flawlessness of the characterization of an iconic villain.The figure is sturdy, let me tell you. Because Maleficent's base is much smaller than her head, she is prone to toppling over from slight movement. It's unfortunate because Maleficent herself would not be privy to actions so ungraceful. This could have been remedied on Funko's part with an attached circular base, but this is a Funko figurine and not a PVC model. I remedied this by applying a small piece of tape to her feet. Problem solved!So as I said before, M is built sturdily, her horns and staff are secure and rigid and show not inclination to breaking off. The articulation is spot on and well done. I know sometimes the paint job on these figures can be spotty, but mine was fantastic. Maybe because there are not that many details to cover, so each detail matters more overall.These Funko Figures are funny to review because really they are simply there for our viewing/collecting pleasure and not much else. For a fan of the film, the film's aesthetic, or character, this is a great little purchase. I give it 5 stars because despite the smaller base, all of Funko's figurines follow the baseless standard and so I don't think I can fault them for following their design language through and through. The figuring captures the essence of the iconic villain perfectly and is a great addition to any collection. I completely recommend buying the Aurora one as well and place them in an area where Aurora is standing in plain sight and Maleficent is hiding behind something "thoughtfully creeping".I am typing this as my Maleficent figure looks down at me from atop her cabinet/cliff. She approves of what I wrote. I am safe for another day.
