Hola. Tenía una versión de GPS inferior y me cambié por este modelo y lo cogí de 2a mano, con dudas , pero vino en un estado impecable y el funcionamiento excelente... No me arrepiento de comprar usado .. lo tengo en cuenta para siguientes compras

I’ve had a few Garmin handhelds over the yearsI needed a new one but didn’t need an ‘up to date model’There is a reason why this GPSMAP 78s has been on the market for years; it’s a very good one!This was described as refurbished but it is literally just like a brand new one; I can’t find a mark on it. It came in a box which says refurbished as well as quick start instructions, a USB mini to USB A charging lead and the wrist strap, again just like buying it brand newAt just £100 this was a complete bargainIt is a joy to use. It’s very intuitive to use and I’ve not needed to refer to the instruction manual once so farI also own a Garmin Etrex 20x but this GPSMAP 78s is so much better and is now my go to GPSDon’t think for one minute that you are getting a ‘used’ item because I believe it is a brand new item and that Garmin/Amazon are selling off ‘New Old Stock’I can absolutely thoroughly recommended this Garmin GPSMAP 78s, especially at the bargain price of £100UPDATE: If anyone has a problem when calibrating the compass please ask the question above. I have an answer for that. It’s a common problem but I’ve found the CORRECT way to do it. Hope that helpsUPDATE: This has recently been priced at £139 but it is now at the bargain price, that I paid, of £99Please don’t hesitate to buy it while it’s at this bargain price…. And also don’t for one minute think you will receive a ‘used’ item as mine was absolutely brand newIt’s a fantastic handheld gps/map unitTrust me you will not be disappointed!If it’s now priced higher than the £99 that I paid please don’t let that put you off…. It’s still a bargain price for such a good Garmin handheld and you simply can’t buy a better unit for the price…. Ok it’s not the very latest Garmin handheld but it’s been around for years because it’s a VERY good unit indeed

Nice little unit. I did not realize that I would have to buy maps for land. I knew you had to buy marine charts, but not for land. It will still work for hiking. If I were to get lost on a mountain trail, it leaves a trail I can follow back to where I started. It says Lithium batteries or NiMh batteries, but I tested it with alkaline and they lasted 20+ hours. I would change them out at 20 hrs though.

I was a little concerned what the item would be like because it's refurbished. But the item looks brand new and seems to work perfectly - the only indication that it's not brand new is that it came in a non-retail box. Great item, incredibly good value for money. Thanks!
