So I used the Garmin on a 4,000 mile European driving tour. Can’t say I’m super impressed. Very poor at finding locations, ones that phone mapping gets immediately. Or it gives you about 20 options for things like a mountain pass. It also definitely takes you on longer routes than phone or Google mapping. It’s clear enough to view unless it’s sunny (in a convertible) when it’s then hard to distinguish between blue roads and the purple route. When it works it’s good but all too often it frustrates me.

This satnav has great features. Once synced with your mobile app, type in the postcode, and that's it. Brilliant. Very clear screen. I have a convertible. You can see the screen clearly when the sun is shining.

Installation/Update dauert recht lang. Ohne Laptopverbindung kaum möglich bei Erstupdates (Garmin Express).
