I use this product to connect my computer(back of small church) to a wireless sound board(front of small church) running through 150' of cat5. So far it has worked wonderfully. No observable lag when viewing videos with audio.

Functions well and does everything it should, but audio quality is less than wonderful. I needed to take audio from a small kitchen TV and send it to the whole-house music system to the customer could hear the TV even if she left the kitchen. The quality of the audio from the TV was not great but after piping it through the Gefen Ext Aud 1000, there was a noticeable downgrade in quality: occasional buzzing, pops, hiss. Nothing really egregious, just a little irritating, even to a non-audiophile.
