Size chart for Gill products is spot on. I got these for my son for sailing and they fit perfectly after I used the chart. Quality is excellent as with any Gill product.

I've made a side-by-side comparison between these Gill "winter sailing" gloves (costing $56) and a similar pair of 3mm neoprene SCUBA diving gloves (costing $17). Both gloves were equally warm and comfortable, if a little difficult to put on. However, I found the palms of the Gill gloves to be too "sticky" for safe line handling on a sailboat. Meanwhile, the inexpensive dive gloves had a dot pattern applied to the palms which gave them just the right amount of grip, without the risk have getting my hand trapped in a winch. Save your money. Buy yourself an inexpensive pair of dive gloves for your cold weather sailing.

Bought these for my husband. After 1 wear, the inside of the glove started cracking/peeling. He wasn't even in terribly bad weather- just cold. These are warm but the quality isn't what we were expecting. The grip on the palm is "grippy" but the fact that the inside of the glove doesn't wear well after only 1 time is a concern.
