I used this on my shed to give it some accent and intrest. I live in the Pacific NW and it RAINS! So far it's going no where! Super thick. I'm going to try it in my bathroom next, I think it will work beautifully. Highly recommend it

I'm still working on the formula for how much to use. So far, I find you can use a little or a lot!! This is fun to use and is adding the texture I wanted to watercolor! I use a lot of Golden products, but this is my favorite.

Fiber paste is yet another gel medium offering from the good folks at Golden Acrylics. You can mix the fiber paste in with your acrylic paints to give a paper fiber like texture to your painting or you can use the product to coat your painting surface prior to laying down your paint. This is how I use it. I work on a number of non canvas or traditional paper surfaces (wood, plaster, papier mache) and then after prepping my receiving surface (sanding gessoing) then I use the fiber paste to give my surface a pebbled surface. Then when I go in with my acrylic paint it goes into the now dried fiber paste surface and give a texture that can give a paper like effect that I find pleasing. This gel medium is not for everyone. If you are working on rough cold pressed watercolor paper, then you don't obviously need this product. And if you are working on canvas and not going for impasto technique then this isn't going to be something you use. But for the 2 results I listed above, this is a great product. If you've never used it before, I'd suggest just getting a smaller sized product or getting one of Golden's sample medium packs where they offer small amounts of different products so you can experiment a little to see what works for you or if they give you some textural options that you haven't tried before. One last suggestion, as with any gel medium product, be sure you put the lid back on the container tightly! This stuff can dry out quickly depending on the weather and the last thing you want or need is 16 ounces of plastic.
