Perfect for what I needed. We wanted one that could go up or down, as shown, as there's not enough space for her to be above my desk. I can confirm a few other reviews that the bed itself isn't super padded, but that's easy to fix, and Zelda doesn't mind. It does tilt a little under her weight, but not badly. I always know when she's jumped up because of a slight shake, but that might be because my desk is thin. It looks great and she's a happy snoozer! I can imagine that some larger cats would struggle with it, Zelda is average weight and fits snugly. Happy with my purchase!

Most importantly, my cat roomie took to it straight away. She is curled up in it right now looking like a big ball of breathing floof. Safely above my papers and not positioning herself in front of my computer screen.
