This appears to be a well made tool. The head is very well formed with no visible welds, and the tines are longer than most of "garden Spades" Was a little trepid about no name nature of brand, but I don't see any issues or short cuts with the construction.Because the handle is metal, it is heavier than what you are use to, which might make a difference if you use it all day. I find that the extra weight is an advantage for the first "jab" into our clay soil.Just broke a fiberglass handled fork all to pieces from big box store, don't see that being a problem with this one.

Very well made and can dig very deep. These are difficult to find in the big box stores and tractor supply stores. If you even think might need one of these, buy it now because they may not be around when you do need one. I even searched Amazon in multiple way and couldn’t find this tool. I actually saw a movie where someone was using one and took a picture and Googled it from the picture. I was then able to get a tool company’s name old search the tool maker on Amazon to find this.

Tines are not strong at all. Just loosening dirt the tines bend making this useless.

My 20-year-old digging fork lost its head, and apparently, a fork like this is not something you can pick up at a home and garden store anymore. Who knew? It's hard to know what you're getting when you shop online but I took the gamble. I am happy to say that it does the work well. In spite of the ridiculously huge box it came in (why not wrap it in heavy paper or card and sisal twine? Reduce-reuse-recycle... and we gardeners like biodegradeable stuff. But I digress...). I'm not as strong as I used to be and the fork is heavy, but that means I can drop it into the dirt without having to drive it in, and then use my foot to dig in and my weight to lean on it to lift the dirt. It did a great job of helping me turn the soil in my raised bed and get the last onions and roots out to prep for planting garlic. Very satisfactory. I like that the head is on a long shank - the old one has a short shank that can't be repaired. Honestly, this thing is stronger than my creaky joints.

Durability : Can't tell at this moment. I used to buy pitch fork from Home Depot or Menards to do garden works. After last fork broke, this is my first metal pitch fork. Very heavy (which is my least concern), and no wood which is what I wanted. Because past few pitch forks broke on wood handle. this fork is much thicker and feels stronger than regular hardware store forks. I used this fork in my garden to pull few bulbs, feels sturdy and strong so far. Now the Question is how long it lasts. I didn't buy any plan because in past all my pitch forks broke after using 4-5 years. So I will be happy if it lasts a decade.I will update in future.
