Works perfectly. It comes with no instructions and some people complained about the performance because they don't know how to use this simple tool. One showed an image where the hole had a piece torn out. I know exactly why. They didn't continue to tighten the bolt into the punch until it was completely through the panel. They stopped too soon and ended up with a bad-looking hole. That was entirely their fault not the tools. After the punch is all the way through the panel it will easily fall out of the panel. Unscrew the bolt completely and put the large part in a vice. Use a straight screwdriver and hammer and knock the two parts apart. Job done.

This knockout makes a 1 inch hole. A 1 inch conduit connector needs a 1 3/8 hole

When we used this on our airplane firewall to create a 1” hole for a pass through for wiring, it somehow managed to get the steel sheet stuck between the two pieces and ripped the steel around the hole, totally messing up the hole we were cutting on the firewall. We’ve used another punch before...same brand but not same style and had NO problems with the other one. Will be returning this piece of garbage.

Be careful of your sizing! Ordered thinking this was for 1" conduit. It is not. It is literally for a 1" hole or 25.4mm. Usually a 1" knockout hole is 1.362 inches. Went back & re-read. Found a comment to the side saying for 1" hole but this is not clear in the main description.
