I got this HABOTEST temperature and humidity meter hoping to keep a better eye on the climate in my greenhouse. The display is certainly clear and easy to read, which is a plus. It's also lightweight and portable, which made it convenient to carry around. I appreciated that it came with batteries, too. However, I quickly noticed that it's pretty slow to register changes.The biggest issue I encountered was with accuracy. I tested it against another thermometer and hygrometer I already owned, and the HABOTEST consistently showed different readings, especially with humidity. It seemed like it needed a constant flow of air to get a somewhat decent reading, which isn't always practical. I even tried placing it near a small fan, and it still struggled to match the other devices I had. Ultimately, I can't really trust the numbers it's giving me, which defeats the purpose of having it.

I wanted to like this as it has a nice display. But it has a very slow response and is not that accurate. It needs some airflow to really make a reading as well.

I was impressed with the HT607 Digital Temperature and Humidity Meter from Habotest. The cover for the sensor itself is a nice addition from others I've used in the past. The inclusion of dewpoint readings is also a benefit that I really appreciated since it provides a deeper understanding of the actual moisture content in the air compared to standard humidity readings alone. The dual display and user-friendly design are also well thought out, but it does require a bit of a wait when adjusting to a new environment, which is to be expected.

I own and store a lot of vintage photo/cine lenses and equipment, so trying to keep an eye on humidity is a constant effort. I have a dehumidifier cabinet, use desiccant absorbers, and monitor via my cabinet, a bluetooth device in my camera bag (Tempfi) and now I have this. I have used a hygrometer calibration kit to confirm this is super accurate, with that being the most important aspect. Otherwise, the build quality is great, very much like a nice voltage test meter.

I had high hopes for this device, but it just doesn't deliver. The main problem is that it takes forever to produce an accurate reading. The instructions tell you that whenever you move it to another environment, you must allow it to stabilize to ensure an accurate reading. It doesn't say how long you should expect to wait. I moved it from my kitchen counter (77 degrees F.) into my refrigerator (40 degrees F.). After 5 minutes, it read 75 degrees! It took over a half hour to read anywhere near the correct temperature. Don't waste your money on this!
