I have been using a tether on my phone for 10 years. It's just a great way to keep track of my phone, and when I'm leaning out over the water for a picture, that tether is wrapped around my finger in case I drop the phone. The tether I have been using is smaller, and a lot more expensive than this one from Hagibis, but this tether is different - in a good way - and a lot less expensive.Last time I was in Europe, I was constantly reminded to keep my phone close to avoid it being stolen. I wore it tethered to my belt loop. But recently I saw a video from Paris, where the police had stopped a young girl - maybe 17 years old, with 13 iPhones on her person - thirteen!!In London there are gangs of young men on pedal bikes and EVs, who rush up to an innocent phone user who is trying to use Google Maps or the like, and they grab the phone and keep going. You have zero chance of catching them or getting your phone back.Recently a friend of mine was in a dance club and had her phone lifted from her pocket. She didn't realize it until the thief was long gone, and when she asked the management about it she was told that 5 or 6 people a night have their phones stolen - every night.A tether can be inconvenient sometimes, but if you are traveling you absolutely should be using this tether. It is a quality product, very well made and can be around your neck, your waist, or attached to your belt. Using this tether will make the pickpockets move on to easier pickings and you won't be stuck on a European street wondering what happened. The tether also has a Type "C" to Type "C" charging cord built in, and it charges very quickly - as good as or better than the one supplied by Samsung. It's built right into the tether and very cleverly done. The way these tethers work, is an anchor is attached to your phone case, and sticks out through the charging port. Once the case is back on the phone, the anchor is securely attached to the phone. In my case I also apply some 3M sticky tape to make sure nothing slips. The anchor supplied by the manufacturer is OK, but not as good as others I have used. You can buy them here on Amazon - search "MAXCURY 5 Pack Phone Lanyard Tether Tab", and you'll find them, and at a reasonable price.Get one of these tethers, especially if you are traveling - and this is an excellent one. I didn't realize how much I stood out among the crowd, holding my phone up and trying to follow Google maps. It's almost a sign to the pickpockets, or snatchers, "there's another one".This is a really well made product and today at $16, it is a steal.... get it?!? The built in charging cord is excellent, and the tether is very adjustable. If you intend to go overseas, or even walking around in a crowd here in the USA, this tether will make your journey memorable in a good way. I highly recommend it.

Material is pretty sturdy, I love that it's adjustable.

This is a very cool idea, but I think that it could use a little bit of refinement. First of all - the lanyard is stiff. This is completely understandable given that it is also a charging cord, but I suspect they could make it have a little more 'drape'. I have found that flexible lanyards that drape well are generally easier to live with, as they are more comfortable around your neck and they are easier to roll up or 'tuck in' and store as well. A neck pad might be helpful, as well. And the clips, while they look cool, are a little chunky, and can be difficult to clip to some types of retaining devices. Now - all that said - it is a lanyard that is also a charging cable, which is awesome. And - I had no trouble using it to charge at about 40 watts on my MacBook - so while it might not support blistering-fast charging speeds for all devices, it is not stuck at 5 or 10 watts either.I think this is better than a gimmick, but because it is somewhat lacking as a lanyard, I will probably not use this except in special circumstances - maybe when traveling super-light and a dual-purpose device saves me some space.
