Farben fließen hervorragend auf dem naturweißen Papier und beflügeln Pinsel und Künstler. Die 30 Blatt des 250 g/m² Papiers haben auf der Vorder- und Rückseite eine homogene, feinkörnige Oberflächenstruktur, so stehen Künstlern 60 Seiten zum kreativen Gestalten zur Verfügung. Das Buch ist für alle Aquarelltechniken geeignet, insbesondere für die Nass-in-Nass-Technik. Maskierstifte und Masking Tapes lassen sich ohne Rückstände entfernen. Selbst Radierungen sind dank Oberflächenleimung problemlos möglich. Der nachtschwarze, stabile Einband mit schwarzem Lesezeichen verleiht dem Buch eine Eleganz und die Stabilität, die es als unverzichtbarer Begleiter benötigt. Ein Gummiband verschließt das Buch fest.

It's good paper but not for me.Please read the whole review cause that it didn't work for me doesn't mean also not for you, you just need to know about the difference.As a student I always loved hahnenmühle it's affordable and nice paper with random grain pattern. But since I have used arches it's a world of difference, for me.my paper always broke when I used masking fluid for too long, or when I use tape for the edges, and I always thought I was doing something wrong. Also when I tried to get back into my painting when the colour dried I got backwashes blooms and other things i didn't want. I though that was just the way it was and I clearly had a lot still to learn.I couldn't reactivate my colours anymore on the paper to smooth out harsh lines even if the teacher or courses I took told me to do. My paper always crumbled or I got weird effects.I must have been doing something wrong, I thought until I switched paper. My art is depending to be able to smooth my lines for realism. And to get little to no texture effects. Hahnenmühle didn't offer this for me.Hahnenmühle is perfect paper for people loving texture in their artwork. For not relying on too smooth lines, and also not leaving masking tape or fluid for weeks on end on it.So do you love texture in your work, do you love especially loose and beautiful watercolour techniques then this is your paper.Do you want smooth lines being able to resmooth lines and go back into your work after a week of drying time, go to arches.If it helps people I use schmincke horadam watercolours. I do not know if maybe other brands will work the way I need them to on this paper, but I've used schmincke, Winsor and newton, van Gogh and rembrand. These all give me same results on this paper.

Épaisseur, grain, qualité, ce papier est idéal pour l’aquarelle. J’ai mis beaucoup, beaucoup d’eau et la page est intacte. Petite astuce avant de peindre : attacher les pages du carnet avec une pince à dessin. Ça permet d’éviter à la page de gondoler.

Ideal für meine Nature Journaling Arbeiten. Das Papier ist stark genug, auch auf beiden Seiten malen zu können. Bei leicht wässrigen arbeiten keine Wellen im Papier. Perfekte Auftrocknungszeiten. Bin begeistert!

Das kleine Büchlein ist von sehr guter Qualität - wie ich es von einem Hahnemühle Watercolour Book erwartet habe ;-)

Ich benutze das größere quadratische Buch als Reisetagebuch und ein A4 Querformat als Tagebuch zuhause für geschriebene Notizen, als auch gemalte Bilder und manchmal eingeklebte Minifotos. Die Bücher bekommt man nicht kaputt. ich benutze Aquarellfarben und Gouache mit viel Wasser, ich radiere und schreibe mit Füller, Marker und Fineliner. Das Papier macht alles mit. Deshalb halte ich den Preis auch für gerechtfertigt. Kann die Bücher nur empfehlen.

Ich arbeite sehr gerne Mixed Media und wollte ein Skizzenbuch, dass mir erlaubt möglichst vielfältig kreativ zu sein.Dieses Buch erfüllt alle meine Anforderungen. Das Papier ist sehr hochwertig. Es „krümelt“ bei Aquarell und Gouache Farben kaum und wellt sich auch so gut wie gar nicht. Wenn man mit viel Wasser arbeitet wellt es sich minimal und wird auch wieder kerzengerade, was mir bei Aquarellpapier sehr wichtig ist.Das Papier hat genau die richtige raue für Farben, ist aber nicht zu rau um auch mit Bleistift und Buntstift zu arbeiten.Zudem hat der Einband eine sehr gute Qualität. Wenn das Buch voll ist werde ich es definitiv nachkaufen, ich bin sehr zufrieden.

First of all, I ordered the small size accidentally. So I was distracted thinking they had sent the wrong size. However I decided to try it out rather than send it back.The paper is very white and I like that! Paper is also soft and stays soft and I think I like that. So far it's a new experience. I have used all cotton paper for the past year but haven't cared in my journals. I decided it's time for cotton only period. My last two journals where awful and I had to use them while staying in Arizona for three months.So this journal is great compared to my last two? I will let you know that it's very very small and cute. It has no envelope in the back. It has a string too mark your spot. It is well made and has a stitched binding. I have only painted a few pages so I'm not sure how much water you can toss on it.. I think I'm liking it enough to give the next size up a try. So as of right now it's too small for me but I think the larger one might end up asmy preference journal, but I'm going to be trying out a few Cotton only journals to see how well they hold up.. no more cheap journals for me.. so my quest for a cotton journal that's well made is on...oh the pages are thick but not hard...and do not have a grain like most cold press but are not quite like hot press either... Just different and I think I like that..Warning: I ordered the next size up and the paper is not the same. I'm not sure it's even cotton. I'm disappointed and will not order that size again. I'm afraid to order the large one for fear it's not the soft thick 100% cotton like the little first one... I'm still loving my little first one and plan on getting it again....
