Most of my life I worked as an marine engineer (CE) on ships, mainly offshore construction ones. And as you can imagine an engineroom is chock full of pressure gauges all over. Literally thousands of them. Of course there are also now thousands of digital pressure readouts as well and they help with remote reading. But, when you really, and I mean really want to know what the pressure is for sure, you can't beat an analogue gauge. To put it in perspective, a saturation dive system on a DSV still uses analogue pressure gauges for systems where men's lives are at risk. Okay, they cost a small fortune and are regularly calibrated but - and I've been in this situation millions of times - when you need to know for sure what a pressure is you turn to the old bourdon type gauge. It might not be 100% accurate at all times but you know for a fact it's reading close and that you have or have not got pressure. A digital gauge can tell far more lies. So, that brings me to this. For a pressure gauge it's cheap as chips. Well made too with a stainless housing and good quality fittings. Ideal for general purpose use and whilst not something you might use on system critical stuff, perfectly useable for most things such as pump outlets.Which, I've used this on. I have a couple of boost pumps in my house with tiny little gauges that are next to useless. I've installed this in the line and now I can see fairly accurately what the pressure is.Overall a good bit of kit.
