The snap is better than the bungee cord types because the bungee cord I tried was too stiff. Snap works great quickly getting things out if you need them. And that strap holds it in position where you put it very well.

2 things. Change the strap attachment from the back to the front (have had some issues with it staying in place), and make the strap wider. I can't put a light on it bc it keeps getting caught on the strap.Other than that it's fine.

This is a very useful and versatile design where you can easily adapt to pretty much any pistol. I bought this because a needed a holster for a pistol fitted with a red dot sight and has worked perfectly. The backing of the holster is Velcro so I fitted this in a Viper universal chest rig where it holds my FNX-45 pistol very securely.

This Hazard company missed the mark with this thing. I'm only giving it two stars because the adjustable thumb break attaches to the inside of the velcro that secures the frame of the pistol. For a right hand shooter this places the end of the thumb break on my XD, XDM, and my new XDS, at the level of the ejection port. The ejection port then hangs up on the thing every time. If the straps for the thumb break were longer it would clear the port. Poorly designed. Now I would have given three stars if the advertisement had not said that this is the only holster of this design that incorperates a thumb break safety strap. That isn't true. 5.11 has one that works much better and it has an adjustable thumb break safety strap that actually works (my XD .40 Cal is in it as I write this). You know come to think of it I,m only giving this thing one star because I'm never going to use it because it isn't safe. Could you imagine needing to draw your weapon from a bag with this thing in it and you can't because you get hung up on some stupid velcro strap. I guess you could get some velcro webbing and some snaps from a craft store and install a new (longer) thumb break. Makes me wonder if anyone actually tests this Hazard company's stuff or if they receive any real world feedback because this could actually be fixed with another $1.00 worth of velcro. I almost forgot. If you decide to buy this thing anyway then be warned, the frame strap is actually to small for anything but my XDS to properly fit into. They should test these things out and sell them in a small medium and large. But they don't so they get one star. P.s. I'm not bullet or idiot proof so my gear has to be.
