Had a MOT fail because I didn't realise that the rear plate light was out. This turned out to a combined Tailgate release and sealed LED unit. This was a direct fit for my Ford Focus 2016 estate, easy to install. Just prise out the old unit gently with a screwdriver or small trim removal, unplug the old unit (failed LED) and plug in new unit. Located easily with a good fit in bootlid, plug connected easily and the tailgate release microswitch works perfectly. In all takes a about 5 mins to replace the old unit with the new and test / check. Recommended.
