As I get older it is harder to get up off ground. Bought this to replace my Alps Mountaineering cot primarily for height. It is great to have a cot same height as sofa to sit on in tent and easy to get up from. Adds tent space with room for gear underneath. Only problem causing drop in rating is feet quickly wore holes in my heavy duty Lone Rider Motorcycle tent floor. It is easier to set up than Alps but a little challenging to corral the supports when rolling up to go in bag. It does fit easily back in bag.It is also good for more than camping. My grandson uses it when he visits. I took it to hospital to sleep on in my wife’s room for a few weeks. With a light air mattress and Helinox thermal cot cover I was able to sleep well. Arrangement a little narrower than single bed but arrangement as comfortable as nearly any mattress I have slept on. Hospital staff was impressed.

This is extremely lightweight. And packable. I love the way all the legs break down but stay together with cords inside. It's perfect for how I wanted to use it. I added a cot warmer.

I'm 6'3', 200lbs, 66 y/o, two TKAs.Was tired of grunting & groaning up and out of a typical 9" high camp cot.All the other tall cots were heavy and bulky.Given a good return safety net, I pulled the trigger on this jaw droppingly expensive cot.OMG! I see the light!Buy it if you can afford it - it hits all the high marks for lightness, durability, height, stability, quality, and ingenuity.I'm going to buy a second one!

Why buy when there are cheaper knock offs? Because while the others look like they are the same and their specs are the same, they are really not the same. The cot fabric is tightest of any that I tested. I would have loved to find a cheaper option, but after side by test testing on my 5’11” 260lb body, this one is hands down then best.

Even though it's expensive, I went ahead and ordered; with the thought that if not completely amazed, I'd send it back. When it came, I assembled it. OK. I'm amazed!I've been using a ThermaRest lite cot for 7 years and at least a hundred nights. It has been good. But its a struggle to assemble and disassemble with all those parts and having to hand-tension the canvas. AND, it's so low to the ground, one has to crawl onto it and off in the morning. I hate crawling around. Came across the Helinox High last week.Boy, oh boy, is it expensive! How can a cot be so expensive. When it arrived, I sat on the floor and assembled. FOUR minutes later, it was ready for sleep. FOUR MINUTES! The ThermaRest took over 10 minutes with all those parts that fall apart as the cot is being assembled.And the comfort is much better. The fabric is stretched so taught, facilitated by the lever-action tighteners.First time on it even without a mat, I was totally sold. It's a keeper.Getting onto the cot at night and off in the morning is so much better than crawling around on the tent floor. When getting on, I just sit, spin, and extend my legs, and lay my head down; just like a real cot. ZZZZZ.To get off, just swing your legs to one side, feet on the floor, and stand up! Oh so much better.
