This is a 3 position valve with two coils, when hooked up to an air cylinder, activating one coil will extend the cylinder, and activating the opposite coil will retract the cylinder, but here's the cool thing, If you activate one coil, then deactivate it before the cylinder gets it full travel, it will stop the cylinder in the middle and LOCK it there!! Turning on both coils at the same time is a completely invalid condition, it's not meant to ever be done.I have some CNC machines that I use a lot of pneumatic clamping solutions on. One of the things I like to do is have rectangular two rod cylinders push the material against a fence, or pop_up Pins before the pneumatic clamps hold it down. When doing this with something like a 4x8 sheet of plywood, I need to get it pushed both ways... horizontally and vertically, but there's a problem, if I push it horizontally first, there is so much pressure on it, the vertical pusher can't move it, and if I push it vertically first, the horizontal pusher can't move it.. so how do I get it in the corner? With two of THESE valves! These allow me to do the horizontal, then after waiting a sufficient time that it must be clamped, I back them off, but only 0.03", just enough that the vertical pushers can move the material, but not so far as to allow it to get away from the horizontal stop if the vertical pushers are not equal, once the vertical pushers stop, I back them off slightly as well, then clamp everything at the same time and put down the hold down clamps. You can get AMAZINGLY accurate distances by just using flow controls on your cylinders, then using timing to control the distance... so if I set the flow controls to move a 4" cylinder it's entire stroke in 4 seconds, that's 1" every 1 second, so if I want to move it 0.03" I just open the valve in the direction I want it to go for 30Milliseconds, then close it, and the cylinder will have moved 0.03". Of course if your flow controls are faster or slower, you need to adjust the timing proportionally. Yes there is some delay in my relays, and in the valve, and the position is not going to ever be accurate to any precision, but being able to stop the cylinders in the middle of the stroke is a huge benefit and for what I need it to do, these valves work perfectly!

Erster Eindruck ist OK. Jedoch sind die Stecker von minderwertiger Qualität. Das transparante Gehäuse war schon angebrochen, beim festziehen ist auch das 2te gebrochen. Mal gucken wie lange das Ventil funktioniert. Täglich im Einsatz und bis zu 500 Schaltvorgänge/Tag
