I was working for the dept of corrections and these gloves were great but the fingers were too long and i couldn't perform a proper search on cells. had to swap back to normal mechanics gloves and pray i dont get poked.

These gloves are really good for searching cars with possible sharps inside. I would only use them for that as you do lose some dexterity.

I have not attempted resistance against cactus needles yet, but you should not get any splinters with these gloves. Makes working with old wood much more comfortable.
